The privacy of the cottage and the garden terrace was lovely. The hosts are fantastic, they are very informative and will make you aware of local walks and things to do. Very attentive and friendly. The layout of the cottage was very nice, with the kitchen downstairs and the living area upstairs. The overall comfort of the cottage was excellent. It was very clean and tidy. The facilities were fantastic, Sky TV included movies and sports. Everything you need for a short getaway is there. The location is ideal in that it is just outside the centre of Windermere which means it is peaceful and relaxing, but you can reach the centre of Windermere or Bowness with a short walk. We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, and we would definitely recommend it as a place to stay if you're visiting the Lakes. We will definitely stay again.

On arrival, Andrew was very welcoming. The apartment is accessed via a code lock so there were no keys to collect or return, meaning that we were able to be independent throughout. The kitchen was well appointed with extras, such as: hand soap; a couple of sachets of hot chocolate along with tea and coffee and kitchen roll. There were toiletries provided in the bathroom, too. A full Sky TV package is a great addition when staying for longer (we stayed a week). The decor is neutral and very modern. The situation, between Windermere and Bowness (both walkable), is excellent.

Location fantastic in the middle of both Windermere and Bowness easy walking distance. Great studio in beautiful grounds of the main B and B. Exceptionally clean. A fantastic studio for two people wanting a few nights in own accommodation with everything to hand. Great hosts we would love to stay again. Highly recommend this place. Nice touches such as lovely bedding and towels plus the lemon drizzle cake was really nice with a cup of tea after a long journey.

The host Andrew is amazing. He waited us till late and was very patient and honest with us. He also speaks French which is very helpful. The property was very tidy and clean, which make the late arrival a much pleasant and homey feeling. Highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a relaxed mountain holiday in the astonishing Lake District

Although this property is squeezed in between others, it did give us the feeling of being alone. We never really bumped into anyone else at all. The property is spotlessly clean & well appointed. It it halfway between Windermere & Bowness centres, each of which is only a short walk. There is an outdoor 3 pin socket for charging electric cars. If you arrange with the owners, they will save the nearest parking space for you.

The Nook is excellent position for walking to Bowness and Windermere. Parking right by the property, great for security and unloading your car. Facilities were fabulous. What you needed was there and more. Lovely shared and private garden area to use. Lovely quiet area to relax in after a day/evening out. Property was spotless, very comfortable bed and good storage all round. Hosts were very welcoming and happy to help with any queries we had. Would welcome staying here again. Lovely, lovely place.

We stayed in the adjoining 1 bedroom cottage (The Nook) for 4 nights. The cottage is a really attractive property and well equipped with everything you need. There was a real quality to everything about the property from the furnishings down to the toiletries provided. The property was tastefully decorated and you could see a great deal of effort had been put in by the owners. The bed was really comfortable with good quality bed linen provided. The owners were on hand in the adjoining B&B if we needed them but otherwise left us be to enjoy our stay. The property is also in an ideal location in a quiet area between Windermere And Bowness with short walks to both. It’s a superb place to base yourself when exploring The Lakes and it will certainly be our first choice when visiting again.

The property was beautiful. It was in a lovely area not far away from everything. Andrew was so friendly and gave brilliant advice on where to go. Everything was so clean and I felt safe that they were doing a brilliant job at protecting customers from COVID.

The Cranny is private, cosy and comfortable. It is just perfect for a little break away. A welcome home made chocolate muffin on arrival, lovely hosts, The Cranny is just wonderful. I'd have no hesitation in recommending it. x

The Nook was very clean. The hosts were friendly. The Nook is a nice walking distance to the Lake. Great facilities. A perfect stay!

Fabulous week at The Nook, perfect for two, had everything we needed, friendly hosts, great location between Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, close to shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. The cottage was nicely presented, cosy and relaxing. We had an enjoyable stay, would highly recommend!

Perfect location between Windermere and Bowness. The cottage was very cosy, warm and tastefully decorated. The full English Breakfast was very nice. The owners were extremely helpful and advised on local walks. We had no complaints whatsoever!

A great short break. The Cranny was perfect for the two of us. Everything was provided to make our stay relaxing and very enjoyable. The welcome cakes and milk for a brew were a nice touch. The cottage's location is perfect to visit the bars and restaurants of both Windermere and Bowness.

A great weekend in Windermere. Very warm and cosy, perfect location. Comfortable and very clean. Nice thick towels in bathroom. Our hosts left milk, tea, coffee and lovely banana buns.

The cottage had everything you needed; it was very clean and even had little bottle of milk in the fridge to get us started and lovely banana muffins which were delish. Just so welcoming. We were made to feel welcome by the hosts who were lovely. In an ideal location.The guest house offered breakfast as well which was superb. We stayed in The Cranny which was a studio property and cant wait to return.

Good location near to Bowness & Windermere with ample off-street parking. All necessary facilities for a self catering break in a good sized studio cottage. Friendly hosts. with a very friendly puppy!

The cottage was very well equipped and very clean. The terrace was great to sit with a glass of wine! We appreciated the prettily presented cakes which were left for us in the cottage on our arrival. Such a nice gesture. We really enjoyed our stay and wish it could have been for longer. We loved everything.

Fantastic cottage. The Nook is a gorgeous little home from home. Abigail and Andrew were great hosts. The home baked banana bites left for our arrival were delicious. Nice touch.

The cottage was well located, slightly away from the main road so was very quiet.It was modern, comfortable, clean and well equipped.

The Nook is a lovely little cottage right in between Windermere and Bowness. Perfectly located for both towns. The property is over two floors with a kitchen & dining table on the ground floor and a living space with sofa, large TV and Sky, a bathroom and reasonable sized bedroom on the first floor. The owners are really good and see to any needs and the breakfast is amazing.
